Biografia
Pasquale Monaco e nato a Napoli il 13-08-1948. Vive a Roma dal 1983. Ha frequentato l’ Istituto delle porcellane di Capodimonte e l’ Accademia Napoletana di Belle Arti . Dal 1970 svolge un’ intensa attivita artistica con mostre personali e collettive. Ha ricevuto premi e significativi riconoscimenti. Per alcune sue personali si e interessato il telegiornale della Rai 2. Nel 1978 ha eseguito una gala d’altare alla chiesa S. Francesco dei Padri francescani di Pollica (CS). Le sue opere sono presenti in numerose collezioni private e pubbliche, sia in Italia the all’ estero.

TRA IMPRESSIONISMO ED ESPRESSIONISMO
Nelle opere del Maestro Pasquale Monaco le soluzioni spaziali sono basate non sulla costruzione geometrica delle prospettive, ma su una soluzione puramente empirica dello spazio. Questo ne rende l’ effetto meno compiuto, ma anche meno statico con il risultato edificante di una maggiore libertà di pennellate il colore sulle sue tele con concitata aggressività di estrazione espressionista. La cosa notevole di Monaco e l’ unità stilistica fra due elementi contrastanti, che sono l’ agitata pennellata di sentimento dionisiaco, armonizzata con la calma olimpica che uniforma tutti i volti delle figure femminili di una serenità straordinaria. Da qui il suo timbro insieme impressionistico ed espressionistico, sia nelle figure the nei paesaggi, gli uni e gli altri quasi intercambiabili, tanto sono filtrati e trasmessi con la medesima ottica, tale da costruire un linguaggio unico, una grammatica conoscitiva fatta di sensazioni e di cromie istintivamente intimistiche. Biography:
Pasquale Monaco was born in Neaple on 13th August 1948. He lives in Rome since 1983. He attended the institute of porcellain at Capodimonte and the school of fine arts in Neaple. Since 1970 he has produced many nice paintings allowing him to organize personal exhibitions and partecipate in collective display. Many prizes were awarded to him so he was very much appreciated. Even the television newcast has spoken of some of his personal exhibition. In 1978 he painted the alter-piece of ST. Francis’ at Pollica (CS). His works belong to either private or public collections, both in Italy and abroad.
Critic: Between impressionism and expressionism
